What this collection cannot tell you.
The text passed through OCR and a machine cleanup step. Names and dates are the least reliable part of it, and a quotation taken from here should be checked against the original page before it is repeated. This is the one collection where the transcription itself can be wrong.
We say this on every collection because an absence in a curated release is evidence about the curation, not about the world. Why that distinction runs through the whole product.
