This is what was turned over. Roughly 31,830 messages were classified as personal and deleted before the production, and they are not here and cannot be. For any question about what was deleted, an absence in this collection is close to meaningless — it is a fact about the review, not about the correspondence.
We say this on every collection because an absence in a curated release is evidence about the curation, not about the world. Why that distinction runs through the whole product.
